3 Secrets to Saving Your Orlando Vacation (When the Parks Get Too Much)

Let’s be honest: An Orlando vacation is magical, but it’s also  exhausting . Between the 90-degree humidity, the three-hour wait times for a 4-minute ride, and the afternoon thunderstorms that seem to appear out of nowhere, even the most prepared families can hit a breaking point by day three. I’ve spent years exploring Central Florida, and I’ve realized that the best vacations aren't the ones where you spend 14 hours a day in a theme park. They are the ones where you know when to  pivot . 1. The Afternoon "Rainy Day" Pivot When the clouds turn gray at 2:00 PM, don't run for the parking lot with the thousands of other soaked tourists. If you’re at the parks, head for an indoor show. If you’re at the hotel, head to  Dezerland Park  on I-Drive. It’s 800,000 square feet of indoor fun that Google rarely tells you about. 2. Lima, Peru

Plaza De Armas De Lima

Lima is the capital  city of Peru. Its a very busy city with a population of 8.8 million. You see that where ever you go. Most city streets are very crowed. You may want to pay attention to your valuables. There are many things to see and do in Lima.

Jorge Chavez International Airport

You can take the subway from the airport to the city. It is not very clear without getting help. When you get out of the airport  there taxi drivers that would approach you for your business. They are pretty decent and trust worthy. You could always bargain with them. If you walk away from the airport you could catch a privately operated buses which is very cheap. There are rickshaw everywhere and the prices are very reasonable also.

China Town Lima Peru

Everywhere you go there are street vendors and they will approach you and in buses they will tell stories of about what they are selling and also where they are from. There are many malls. Its a very thriving city. You can get food from street vendors and drinks.

Mira Flores

This is Mira Flores. A suburb which is where most tourists get hotel rooms. This away from the city and very quiet. This area is very secure and along the beach. There is a paved trail where you would see people jogging, walking and and exercising. There are parks along the way, you could sit and relax even at night.

Food in Peru is very good and they give good portions. You can always try Inca Cola by Coca Cola which is my favorite.  Every restaurant gives roasted maize as appetizer which is huge in size. There is a purple maize drink made by black maize, which is pretty good.

I am not a fan of street food but when I saw this I had to have some. I am sold.
