Craneroost park is in Altermont Springs. Less than thirty minutes from Orlando, just off of interstate 4. It is a paved boardwalk trail around the lake. The boardwalk goes in the middle of the water in some areas. People young and old go to walk and jog here. You would also see groups exercising occasionally. It is clean and well maintained. There are water fountains and clean bathrooms on the trail.
This is quite a popular trail and yet not very crowded. No biking or Skateboarding is allowed here. Pets need to be on leash. You will see plenty of wild life mainly birds and you would see some bird feeding too. There are turtles in the water or sun bathing on the rocks by the side.
You will also see beautiful architecture to add to the beauty. There are floating tents that are used during special occasions. Third of July each year for the Independence day the local radio station XL106.7 would have a concert with celebrity singers and fireworks. This event is one of the most popular here and attracts a big crowd.
Not to mention the beautiful plantation all around the trail. It is very relaxing just to sit in one of the many chairs and just watch the day pass by.
The landscape is very beautiful and you would want to take pictures. The trail all around the lake is one mile. Parking has never been a problem here except during events. When this happens the local businesses would let you use there parking lots for free.
